I am Captain Corbin the magical pirate and I perform children’s entertainment that is interactive and fun. I perform as a magician pirate and my family friendly pirate themed shows are a blast (like a cannon!) Children get involved in the show, and many come onstage to assist. As a result the performance becomes very real and interactive.

The show is very interactive and fun. As Captain Corbin I often give the children funny pirate names. Sometimes the girls become princesses or lady pirates, sometimes the boys become princes. Therefore the show is very inclusive entertainment. I have been performing pirate themed magic shows all over North America for almost 25 years now. I have performed at schools, libraries, fairs, festival entertainment and even private birthday party magician.

Throughout the Sumer months I’m often performing at amusement parks and at special events. you can often find me at Storybook Gardens amusement park in London Ontario. And I’m a feature performer at the Great Wolf Lodge in Niagara Falls magician. As a result, I’m pretty well known around the country.

Family friendly and a lot of fun

My pirate shows are Family Friendly and a lot of fun. Therefore children of all ages can watch and take part. Captain Corbin does not have any swords, guns or references to alcohol (rum) in his shows. How often have you seen a “children’s entertainer” say something that was not family friendly? it happens a lot unfortunately. Captain Corbin scripts every show carefully to ensure the language is family friendly as well as being entertaining for all ages. Adults and children will enjoy the show thoroughly. Therefore it is a safe show for anyone to watch.

Magic Pirate Ship is Boatloads of fun

At Fairs, Festivals and many other events, my Magic Pirate ship is boatloads of fun. Event entertainment that attracts crowds. My pirate ship of fun is a perfect attraction. I am Captain Corbin the magic pirate. As Captain Corbin I travel all over Canada. As a result, My magic pirate ship can “sail” to your event. Performing strolling magic and pirate hi-jinks. therefore the performances are spread around. The Magic Pirate Ship of Fun is a six foot long wooden pirate ship on wheels. It’s a huge attraction at festivals and events across Ontario. The Pirate ship was hand built by myself Captain Corbin over about 6 months. It has tiny cannons that squirt water, however, it plays music via a hidden huge speaker and it acts as a table on which I can perform my close up magic. All the children and adults love to come and take a look. The pirate ship of fun is a big picture opportunity. As a result, I’m often asked to stop the stroll for a minute to take pictures.

I have been performing all over North America as Captain Corbin the magical pirate for well over 25 years. As a result I’ve performed in many different venues and situations. Boat cruises started about 15 years ago with a request to entertain guests during a cruise out of Windsor Ontario. That was a lot of fun and I still remember it. I did a short show on the deck due to High winds and then went below deck to perform a show of close up magic. Shortly after that event I started working on a theatrical play of sorts that relied more on interacting with the guests and crew as a pirate. There was still a lot of magic in the show, but the presentation had a much bigger story and script. As a result I had a lot better show, and a great response. Instead of a magic show on a boat, it became a magical pirate adventure cruise!

Since my beginnings the shows have become quite popular. Each presentation is carefully designed for the specific ship. I have been performing the Pirate boat cruises in Gravenhurst Ontario on the Whenona 2 for the last 12 years. Every Sunday throughout the summer, I take over the ship. And every year I present a completely different cruise. Therefore I’m always seeing the same faces year after year. They tell others and always post positive reviews. Pirate Parties full of Magic and fun

I am Captain Corbin the magical pirate. I perform Pirate Parties that are full of Magic and fun all over North America. Boys and Girls will have a great time during Captain Corbin’s Pirate Parties. Boys become pirates or pirate prince’s and the girls become Pirate Princesses or Lady Pirates at the start of the show. As a result, the show is very inclusive and interactive. Even before the show begins Captain Corbin gets the children excited and entertains them as guests are arriving.

I always arrive to the venue in full costume at least 30 minutes before the show is to begin. Therefore the children never see me out of costume. I always appear as a fun, friendly and slightly wacky pirate. When I arrive, I meet and greet all the children present and set up my show. All I require is the space to perform and a bit of electricity for the music. As a result nothing needs to be rented and I can perform in just about any environment. A living room, a den, cottage, even outdoors.

Family Friendly Pirate Festival Entertainment

I have performed at fairs and festivals across North America for many, many years. Although I perform at many different types of venues, I really enjoy the pirate festival. A pirate festival is it’s own special event with many different and unique entertainments. I really enjoy performing my pirate themed magic shows, but I’m often asked to do many other unique attractions.

Making pirate maps with the children is one of my favourite crafts. A big box of crayons and a pile of paper provides hours of fun. I have become quite skilled at drawing pirate maps and encouraging the children to do the same! When I perform at pirate festival I am usually there for the full day entertaining. My Magic shows are the highlight of the day, but between the shows, during my “free time” There is no way I am hiding in a dressing room, or backstage. I’m always out front, strolling through the festival entertaining. Drawing pirate maps, performing close up magic, and telling corny pirate jokes. I have a lot of fun. It’s a full day of entertainment. Therefore I can always be found in character and in costume somewhere. During hot summer events I often go through 3 or 4 pirate outfits.

March Break Shows are Magic

Every March Break Shows I perform all over Ontario and beyond. March Break is a very busy time for a magic pirate. Most of the time I’m performing my pirate themed magic shows at libraries and Day camps. Although, quite often I am a magician hired to perform at private functions.

March Break Shows at Libraries and Camps

Every year my March Break books up really early. With only 7 days and a demand for my pirate magic show across Ontario, I often book the entire week months in advance. This coming march break is no different. As a result I’ll be performing at over 5 different libraries across the province.

The Chatham-kent library and the Burlington Library magic shows will be great fun. Full of audience participation and family friendly pirate themed magic. These library shows are at the end of the week, on Thursday and Friday and have already garnered a lot of interest. I have performed at the libraries before and have quite a following. My pirate themed magic shows never fail to sell out.

My March Break Shows last approximately 45 minutes long. The shows are full of family friendly magic, fun and audience participation. I custom create the shows to be perfect for every event. Should a longer or shorter show be required for your event, it is a simple process to design.

45 Minute show, over an hour of entertainment!

I show up to the venue at least 15-20 minutes before the show is scheduled to begin. When I arrive I am in full costume and ready to go. As a result the children never see me out of character and the magic spell begins as soon as I arrive. When I arrive on site I meet and greet all the children and set up the show. I bring everything required for a great show every time, this includes my pirate music, magic and tables. Therefore, nothing needs to be rented or prepared for my arrival. A bit of electricity and the spot to perform in is all I need. When the audience is larger then 50 guests a riser of some kind is appreciated. If an outdoor performance is requested, an alternate indoor area should be ready in case of inclement weather.

Family Literacy Day Shows

Captain Corbin has performed at Family Literacy Day Shows almost every year since he began performing! That’s almost 25 years of touring with educational magic shows.

Captain Corbin has a wide variety of shows available to suit just about any event. During Family literacy Day Shows Captain Corbin often performs two shows with an educational themed. Reading Treasures and the very popular Books Ahoy show. The Captain has performed both shows at literally hundreds of libraries, schools and children’s centres across North America.

Reading Treasures Pirate themed magic show

Reading treasures is a 45minute family friendly and very interactive magic show. It has an educational theme of literacy and reading as a major part of it. During this program many of the magic effects show the importance of reading. The Captain Corbin has puzzles he must solve and the children help him with the reading. Lots of magic requires the children spell simple words and at the end of the show the all realize that Reading is a Treasure! This is a great show for Family Literacy Day shows or for any event at libraries or schools were reading and literacy needs to be encouraged. At the end of the program Captain Corbin body states that Reading is a treasure! Books are like treasure chests and when you open them the story inside is a valuable treasure.

 

Books Ahoy pirate themed magic show

Just like all of Captain Corbin’s Magic shows Books ahoy is family friendly, and interactive. Children in the audience take part and help the Captain with the show.

Books Ahoy is a magic show about the importance of books. Much of the magic in the show has something to do with the Magic books. Throughout the show the books magically appear. During the pirates travels he was “told” that there is lots of treasure at the library, so he went there and found even more books! As a result, the program Captain Corbin talks about the importance of books and how to take care of them. In the show he slowly realizes that books are a treasure, often more valuable then silver or gold. With that he puts the books in his empty treasure chest and abracadabra it fills with Gold! This is another great show for Family Literacy day shows or school assemblies.
