It’s been a busy summer with pirate shows all over North America almost on a daily basis! Over the past three months I’ve “sailed” to Gravenhurst, Toronto, London, Windsor, New York, Chicago and many more cities and towns. Each show has been full of family friendly pirate fun and hi-jinks. In the month ahead I’ll be heading to the Great Wolf Lodge in Niagara Falls as well as Eldon House in London Ontario and near the end of the month I’ll be heading across the country to Vancouver B.C.! Summer pirate cruises

Ahoy All, I am Captain Corbin the magical pirate and I host summer pirate cruises. Every year in July and August I sail to Gravenhurst Ontario and host pirate cruises on the huge steamship Wenonah. Summer pirate cruises in Gravenhurst Ontario

2019 marks the 16th year I have been hosting pirate cruises in Gravenhurst Ontario. As a result, I’ve become quite well known in the area. “sailing” The Wenonah 2 on Lake Muskoka and raising a pirate ruckus with all the cottagers. I yell a lot and fire my cannon, but it’s all in good fun. The cottagers often come out on the lake in their boats to “attack” me! The summer pirate cruses are run by the Muskoka steamship association and are a ton of fun.

Family friendly and very exciting. Every year I write a new script for the cruise. As a result, guests return year after year to experience it all over again. Lost treasure, attacking cottagers, Pirate hi-jacking this cruise has everything! Tickets for this exciting cruise sell out fast. As a result, you should book your tickets well in advance. Cruises last apox. 2 hours and run most Sunday mornings in July and August.

Stoney Lake Summer Pirate Cruises

This summer begins a whole new pirate adventure on Stoney lake just north of Peterborough Ontario. Stony Lake summer Pirate cruises are going to be a lot of fun and an exciting experience you won’t want to miss. Beginning late June 2019 and continuing Saturday mornings throughout the summer. I will be starting a mutiny aboard the ship “Spirit of the Kawarthas”

Captain Bill will be in trouble as I encourage all the young pirates to follow me as I start a mutiny and take over the ship. I have found a treasure map and We “sail” through the beautiful stoney lake area looking for treasure island. Soon we find Treasure Island after a wacky adventure. Unfortunately Captain Bill finds a cannon first. With a newly armed pirate at the helm, Captain Corbin gets demoted back to cabin boy as we sail back to port. You are not going to want to miss this incredible new summer pirate cruise. A Disney like adventure north of Peterborough Ontario.

Magic Pirate Stage shows are Spectacular Adventures

My Pirate stage shows are interactive and fun adventures. Part magic show, part theatrical cartoon show. As a result the audience has a blast. My assistance are always a great help. Often, they perform the magic themselves. Captain Corbin gets the laughs as a wacky pirate trying to find his treasure. Quite often, Captain Corbin finds that the treasure at his current location is not silver or gold. At Libraries it’s the books that become the surprise treasure. Which adds an educational element to his shows.

When. Captain Corbin performs at businesses often the companies product becomes the treasure. At a recent honey festival in streetsville Ontario Captain Corbin discovered that the honey was the treasure (and it was gold too!) Captain Corbin has performed all over North America. It has tiny cannons that squirt water, however, it plays music via a hidden huge speaker and it acts as a table on which I can perform my close up magic. All the children and adults love to come and take a look. The pirate ship of fun is a big picture opportunity. As a result, I’m often asked to stop the stroll for a minute to take pictures.

Pirate Parties full of Magic and fun

I am Captain Corbin the magical pirate. I perform Pirate Parties that are full of Magic and fun all over North America. With well over 25 years performing experience you can be sure my shows are skillful, entertaining and will engage all the children. Boys and Girls will have a great time during Captain Corbin’s Pirate Parties. Boys become pirates or pirate prince’s and the girls become Pirate Princesses or Lady Pirates at the start of the show. As a result, the show is very inclusive and interactive. Even before the show begins Captain Corbin gets the children excited and entertains them as guests are arriving.

I always arrive to the venue in full costume at least 30 minutes before the show is to begin. Therefore the children never see me out of costume. I always appear as a fun, friendly and slightly wacky pirate. When I arrive, I meet and greet all the children present and set up my show. All I require is the space to perform and a bit of electricity for the music. As a result nothing needs to be rented and I can perform in just about any environment. A living room, a den, cottage, even outdoors.

March Break Shows are Magic

Every March Break Shows I perform all over Ontario and beyond. March Break is a very busy time for a magic pirate. Most of the time I’m performing my pirate themed magic shows at libraries and Day camps. Although, quite often I am a magician hired to perform at private functions.

March Break Shows at Libraries and Camps

Every year my March Break books up really early. With only 7 days and a demand for my pirate magic show across Ontario, I often book the entire week months in advance. This coming march break is no different. As a result I’ll be performing at over 5 different libraries across the province.

The Chatham-kent library and the Burlington Library magic shows will be great fun. Full of audience participation and family friendly pirate themed magic. These library shows are at the end of the week, on Thursday and Friday and have already garnered a lot of interest. I have performed at the libraries before and have quite a following. My pirate themed magic shows never fail to sell out.

My March Break Shows last approximately 45 minutes long. The shows are full of family friendly magic, fun and audience participation. I custom create the shows to be perfect for every event. Should a longer or shorter show be required for your event, it is a simple process to design.

I have been performing pirate magic shows all over North America, Canada, and Ontario for a very long time. My shows are fun, interactive and magical. 45 Minute show, over an hour of entertainment!

I show up to the venue at least 15-20 minutes before the show is scheduled to begin. When I arrive I am in full costume and ready to go. As a result the children never see me out of character and the magic spell begins as soon as I arrive. When I arrive on site I meet and greet all the children and set up the show. I bring everything required for a great show every time, this includes my pirate music, magic and tables. Therefore, nothing needs to be rented or prepared for my arrival. A bit of electricity and the spot to perform in is all I need. When the audience is larger then 50 guests a riser of some kind is appreciated. If an outdoor performance is requested, an alternate indoor area should be ready in case of inclement weather.

Pirate themed birthdays with Captain Corbin

I perform Pirate themed birthdays and all kinds of other types of magic shows. Sometimes I’m on a big stage at a theatre or festival and sometimes I’m performing magic on my barrel in the park. Every show I perform is family friendly and a lot of fun. I have been on stage at The Grand Theater in London Ontario and I’ve performed in Windsor Ontario at the Devonshire Mall. I have truly enjoyed every performance. Some of my favourite shows however, have been at private birthday parties. I have a blast performing pirate themed birthdays. As Captain Corbin my pirate themed magic shows are engaging, entertaining and fun!

A Pirate themed birthday party is a very special event. A child’s birthday is remembered for a long time filled with picture perfect moments. During my show I fill the performance with memorable situations and photo opportunities. Each birthday is customized to be perfect and it all begins with the pre show communications.

Customizing pirate themed birthdays

Once the time and date of the event has been scheduled the customization begins. The show is pirate themed, however inside the show many more personalized effects are included. Some of the questions I ask include; what is the birthday boy’s favourite television shows, Games, Sports, hobbies, etc. What are your birthday party ideas and how can they be incorporated into the show. I ask about the child’s likes and dislikes and any other information that is important. After all those questions and more, I go to work designing the perfect pirate themed birthday magic show. Booking early is highly recommended for this very purpose! I love the challenge of last minute bookings, but the longer I have to work on the show the more personal it becomes.

On the day of the show I arrive in full costume very early. As Captain Corbin the magical pirate I don’t want the children to see me as anything other then the pirate. With pirate music playing out of a small speaker attached to my pirate sash I knock on the front door and announce my presence. After meeting the most important birthday child, I set up in the predetermined area and with my pirate music playing in the background I wait until all the guests have arrived to begin my pirate themed birthday.

The show lasts about 45min. and is full of family friendly fun and engaging magic. Every show is customized, no two shows are alike. Each is designed to be age appropriate for the birthday child and include his likes. Contact me for more details!
