I am Captain Corbin the magical pirate and I am the Storybook Gardens Pirate. Storybook Gardens is an amusement park in London Ontario. I have been performing there for over 5 years. It is a lot of fun and I love the audiences that come to watch me from all over the world. I am a magician, and children’s entertainer. I perform all over North America. Ahoy, I am the storybook Gardens Pirate. I perform family friendly pirate magic at Storybook gardens all summer long. It is a blast and one of my favourite places to perform. I perform wonderful pirate themed magic shows all over North America. I have been a professional performing pirate magician for over 25 years. As a result I have become quite skilled and experienced performing for all kinds of audiences. My magic is fun, funny, family friendly and often quite mind bending. As Captain Corbin I am a slightly wacky magic pirate who has often lost his way looking for treasure. Therefore I’ve gathered a group (my audience) to help me find it. Hilarity ensues as the children try to help out and often perform magic themselves. The treasure I find becomes the friends I’ve found. Captain Corbin the magic pirate soon realizes the best ship for a pirate is Friendship! After the show ends, the Captain joins his new crew to meet and greet each one. Often the meeting after the show take up more time then the show itself!

Oceans of Magic

My water safety shows are called Oceans of Magic. During this 45 minute show the children learn about water safety and water conservation. The shows are all about 45 minutes long, however I stick around after every performance to meet and greet with the children. The Water Safety shows have two main messages. We first talk about water safety as it relates to swimming in pools or other bodies of water. We also discuss Water conservation at home. The magic is incredible, pirate themed and a lot of fun. Card magic, magic with silks, rubber fish and water. Always a lot of fun and interactive, with some children coming on stage to assist. As a result, us pirates are tasked with protecting them! (and whatever treasures they may have ) I’ve also on occasion turned boys into little princes and the like. Pirate Parties full of Magic and fun

I am Captain Corbin the magical pirate. I perform Pirate Parties that are full of Magic and fun all over North America. With well over 25 years performing experience you can be sure my shows are skillful, entertaining and will engage all the children. Pirate Parties full of Magic and Fun!

Boys and Girls will have a great time during Captain Corbin’s Pirate Parties. Boys become pirates or pirate prince’s and the girls become Pirate Princesses or Lady Pirates at the start of the show. As a result, the show is very inclusive and interactive. Even before the show begins Captain Corbin gets the children excited and entertains them as guests are arriving.

I always arrive to the venue in full costume at least 30 minutes before the show is to begin. Therefore the children never see me out of costume. I always appear as a fun, friendly and slightly wacky pirate. When I arrive, I meet and greet all the children present and set up my show. All I require is the space to perform and a bit of electricity for the music. As a result nothing needs to be rented and I can perform in just about any environment. A living room, a den, cottage, even outdoors.

Reading Treasures and the very popular Books Ahoy show. The Captain has performed both shows at literally hundreds of libraries, schools and children’s centres across North America.

Reading Treasures Pirate themed magic show

Reading treasures is a 45minute family friendly and very interactive magic show. It has an educational theme of literacy and reading as a major part of it. During this program many of the magic effects show the importance of reading. The Captain Corbin has puzzles he must solve and the children help him with the reading. Lots of magic requires the children spell simple words and at the end of the show the all realize that Reading is a Treasure! This is a great show for Family Literacy Day shows or for any event at libraries or schools were reading and literacy needs to be encouraged. At the end of the program Captain Corbin body states that Reading is a treasure! Books are like treasure chests and when you open them the story inside is a valuable treasure.

Just like all of Captain Corbin’s Magic shows Books ahoy is family friendly, and interactive. Children in the audience take part and help the Captain with the show.

Books Ahoy is a magic show about the importance of books. Much of the magic in the show has something to do with the Magic books. Throughout the show the books magically appear. During the pirates travels he was “told” that there is lots of treasure at the library, so he went there and found even more books! As a result, the program Captain Corbin talks about the importance of books and how to take care of them. In the show he slowly realizes that books are a treasure, often more valuable then silver or gold. With that he puts the books in his empty treasure chest and abracadabra it fills with Gold! This is another great show for Family Literacy day shows or school assemblies.

Much more then just a magic show Captain Corbin pirate and princess party is a theatrical piratical adventure! Getting the girls involved just as much as the boys. Ontario Pirate Magician March Break

Over the past 25 years I’ve been the ontario pirate magician performing magic for children. I’ve had the pleasure to “sail” to just about every major city and most of the minor ones as well. The Captain Corbin ontario pirate magician shows are full of family friendly fun and incredibly hilarious magic. I’ve crossed the province performing at libraries, schools, fairs, festivals and at many other events. This march break, I’ll be heading to a wide variety of events performing on almost a daily basis. Some of the public shows include performances at the chatham-kent libraries, the Peel art gallery and the Burlington public library. My pirate magic shows last apox. 45minutes long, but that is just the show. Long before the show even begins I’m often out in the audience playing with the children. After the show is over, again I come out to interact with the audience. Stopping to meet and greet everyone and get some pictures. The show is customized for every performance, so every show is different. During March Break almost every one of my shows is different ranging from circus themed, to tropical pirate, to even a reading based magic show. Ontario pirate magician has a lot of different shows and themes that can be presented.

Although every show is different, they all have similarities as well. For example my shows are always family friendly, fun and very interactive. I like to have a show with the audience instead of at them. During some of my larger shows I may involved up to 10 children “onstage” with me. Even the children who do not come onstage will feel like a part of the show. The audience is very involved and take part in many decisions.
